Papas Fritas is back for our first show since November 2000. On Saturday, July 20th, 2002, we'll play an outdoor festival in Chicago called the Sheffield Garden Walk. Also, we will play at Schuba's that night with 'I am the World Trade Center'.

General update:

Tony is back from Paris and working on new songs. He's been playing a number of solo shows up and down the east coast, so keep an eye on the local listings. He's also been spotted at a number of NRBQ concerts in the New England area.

Shiv is busy at grad school studying public health.

Keith has been living in Los Angeles since July 2001. He is playing keyboards in The Solar Saturday with Chris, and bass with the Kiara Geller Experience (Kiara from The Sugarplastic). He'll be going back to school to study architecture in the fall.

Videos for "Way You Walk", "Hey Hey You Say", "Afterall", and "Hey Sailor" are finally available for download in the images section.

Peter of Double Agent Records has remixed "It's Over Now" from Buildings and Grounds. It's now out on the brand new Double Agent Compilation, "Take Everything Very Seriously".

Matt O'Keefe, our roadie from the Blur and Cardigan tours of 1997, has just published a novel, You Think You Hear, LOOSELY based on our experiences on the road.

If you decide to read it, remember that in reality, Papas Fritas are mentally stable and considerate individuals.

Members of Papas Fritas are currently wandering aimlessly in various parts of the world. Tony is producing Flexa Lyndo in Belgium, Keith is returning to his roots in Texas, Donna is making art in Croatia, Shiv is in grad school in Boston, and Chris is on his way to France.

In a surprise, un-rock'n'roll turn of events, Donna, our keyboard player, has caught the CHICKEN POX. We have cancelled our shows in Columbus, Bloomington, and Cleveland, in order to get her home to heal. We are sorry to those in the Midwest who were looking forward to the shows.
